March 15th marks the first day of the 28-day countdown for Emerald Outdoor Living’s last step, a twice-a-day brushing of the pool interior surface. The brushing process makes the walls as smooth as possible.
On Monday, March 17th, cement will be poured around the pool deck and Spa area. (The outer perimeter)
Everyone must stay off the freshly poured cement to prevent footprints from cracking the cement while it cures. Although it may look safe, the chemistry of cement curing is not visible, but it does happen.
When it is safe to walk on the cement, an additional sealer will be applied to the surface. No one can walk on the cement during the two-day curing process.
After Emerald Outdoor Living is done, we still need to pass the final inspection.
Thank each of you for your patience and support in this lengthy process.
Cleaning started on the locker rooms today. No, they are not open, but the process of putting all the pieces to the puzzle are coming together.
