Each year, the President of the Senior Estates Golf and Country Club appoints a Board Director to chair a committee. A Board Director may chair more than one committee.
Activities Committee
A committee was established to promote Senior Estates Golf and Country Club as a good place for members to live and enjoy themselves through participation in activities for active seniors.
Architectural Planning Committee
This committee has jurisdiction over all matters related to deed restrictions, including the review and approval of Compliance Certifications, all building plans for modifications to structures, and the construction of fences.
Budget Committee
The committee plans the Senior Estates Golf & Country Club budget for the coming year and recommends any fee increases as needed. It also meets to review monthly financial reports tracking income and expenses and make budget adjustments to ensure balance.
Golf Committee
This committee provides input for the operation and maintenance of the golf course. The golf chairperson is a member of the Mixed Tournament committee, which is responsible for scheduling all tournament events that affect both men’s and women’s golf clubs. The Mixed Tournament schedule is then presented to the Board for approval. This chairperson works with both the men’s and women’s golf clubs.
House Committee
This committee is responsible for maintaining the physical aspects of the clubhouse complex in conjunction with the manager.
Marketing Publications Communications Committee
This committee oversees the News & Views newspaper and various publications, including our Facebook page, Bugle Blast, and the Senior Estates Golf & Country Club website. It promotes upcoming activities and clubs using a daily calendar of events and sends Bugle Blast emails to provide event announcements and other important information.
Promotes the livability of Senior Estates Golf & Country Club through various forms of media. This includes advertising in the News & Views, display kiosks, outside newspapers, the Woodburn Chamber, and other brochures and flyers.
Membership / Real Estate Committee
Welcome receptions are held periodically during the year to allow newcomers to meet their new neighbors, learn how the Association operates, and hear from committee chairs about the activities available to community members. They can also meet the Board of Directors. Refreshments are served, and a tour of the clubhouse is offered to those who are interested.
Rules Committee
The Rules Committee’s duties are to see that the Association’s governing documents are kept in compliance with federal, state, and local statutes such as the Federal Housing Act, the Oregon Planned Community Act, and Oregon Restated Statues and do not conflict with its governing documents. Their duties include formulating and revising the Association’s governing documents. And review written alleged rule violations that have been submitted to the Association.
RV Storage Committee
Manages the upkeep and operation of the RV Storage Lot.
